Special Coverage on Newsroom Pro

Big stories deserve more than a feed.

Give an ongoing story a home of its own. Your editors choose the reporting; Curio Intelligence prepares a draft for them to review and publish.

How a Special Coverage page comes together

  1. 1 · What goes in

    Your reporting

The articles your editors tag for the story in your CMS.

    Figures and data

The numbers behind the story. We can help you gather them.

  2. 2 · Curio Intelligence

    Curio Intelligence

Reads the reporting, links each claim to its source and drafts the page.

  3. 3 · What comes back
    • Timeline

      The key moments, in order.

    • Summary

The story so far, in brief.

    • Where it stands

      The state of play today.

    • Polls and charts

      The figures, made visual.

  4. 4 · Your editors decide. Every draft comes to your newsroom first. Edit anything, then approve it to publish.

Newsroom Pro Drafted by Curio Intelligence

Curio Intelligence drafts the summary, timeline, key figures and more from articles your editors select. Claims link back to their sources, gaps are flagged, and an editor approves what gets published.

Implementation

We do the heavy lifting. You keep publishing.

Every app includes a professionally managed, one-time implementation. We handle the technical work, and you help us get the details right.

  1. 1

    Connect what you already use

We connect your CMS, such as WordPress, and the supported systems your publication depends on. Your editorial workflow stays familiar.

  2. 2

    Make it unmistakably yours

Your logo, typography, colors and identity carry through the app. We also set up the features included in your plan.

  3. 3

Test it. Prepare it. Submit it.

We test on iOS and Android, prepare the store listings and guide submission. Apple and Google control app review and approval.

What implementation covers

Implementation is a required one-time fee: $1,995 on Curio Publish, from $3,995 on Newsroom Pro, where more complex integrations may need a custom quote. We confirm the exact scope and cost after reviewing your publication. Your app then runs on a monthly subscription.

A few good questions

Do we have to change our CMS?

No. Keep publishing where you do today, and your stories flow into the app automatically. Curio connects to WordPress as standard; other platforms can be scoped with Newsroom Pro.

Can Curio manage our CMS as well?

Yes. Because Curio works so closely with your CMS, we can also manage your CMS implementation for an additional fee. Ask us about it when we scope your project.

What does Curio do to get our app live?

We handle branding, CMS integration, supported connections, testing and app-store preparation. You provide access, assets and feedback along the way.

How long does it take to launch?

It depends on your setup, integrations and the stores’ review process. We’ll plan the work with you, but won’t promise an approval date.

Who handles App Store and Google Play submission?

We prepare the builds and listings and guide submission. Apple and Google make the final approval decisions.

What can our team manage after launch?

Publishing stays in your CMS. Your team can also manage supported sections, ads, messages and other settings without a developer.

Is every app built from scratch?

No. Curio runs on a shared platform, professionally implemented for your brand and publishing systems. You don’t have to fund an app from scratch.

Do we have to use AI?

Not at all. Publish works without AI. Newsroom Pro adds article ideas and editor-reviewed Special Coverage drafting.

Can Curio handle election coverage?

Election results within Special Coverage are in development. Ask us where things stand.

How much does it cost?

Curio Publish is $650 a month plus a one-time $1,995 implementation fee. Newsroom Pro, which adds Special Coverage, advanced advertising and Curio Intelligence article ideas, is $895 a month plus implementation from $3,995; more complex integrations may need a custom quote. Both are 12-month agreements in USD. We confirm the exact scope and cost after reviewing your publication, before you commit.
